Max McFerren returns under his flagship alias Complete Walkthru for his fourth full length album ‘Time Will Tell’ on Complete Walkthru Records. We last saw him with the album 'Scrolls’, pulsating ecstatically as the world reached its fever pitch pre covid. However this is not a mind trip nor a body journey and we find CW in more of a promethean quest mode, stealing fire and giving it back to the world.

'Time Will Tell' is his most drifting electronica record to date. In lieu of unbridled ecstasy we find the sound of pure contemplation and focus; of a mind quickly soaking up the wisdom of an unfamiliar zone. No more information overload, but intense parallel processing and the engineering of genetically mutating arp lines for our immune systems. An aural region of desert canyons filled by the subsonics of cruising pneumatic mech waverunners and WRXs. In the distance we hear the echoing ballads of a desert alien refuge, dripping with a certain pathos. We are embraced by warm yet disassociated harmonies that give us a sense of comfort in the shadow of mountain range masked 808s. This is a big painting, not a world.

This album was made in the Santa Cruz mountains, where CW found himself waiting out covid and evacuating house while watching the woods burn. Once again spirit is at the forefront of McFerren's sound. Perhaps his most baroque, non-linear take yet, but spirit reigns again here nonetheless.
